Learn How To Set Up Your Greetings

Your phone system has 3 types of Greetings:

Watch the video below to get an idea of how to set up and use Greetings.

Steps to Set Up Your Greetings:

  1. Log into Your Unitel Voice Account: Start by logging into your Unitel Voice account at https://login.unitelvoice.com.

  2. Navigate to the Greetings Section: Once logged in, go to the Greetings section in the Settings menu. This is where you can manage and record all of your greetings.

  3. Set Up Your Main Greeting: The Main Greeting is the first greeting your callers will hear. You can record a message welcoming them and providing options to direct their call (e.g., press 1 for sales, press 2 for support). To record the greeting, follow the on-screen instructions or upload an audio file.

  4. Create After-Hours Greeting: The After-Hours Greeting will be played when calls are received outside your specified business hours. This greeting can be used to inform callers that your business is closed and provide instructions on leaving a voicemail or calling back during business hours.

  5. Set Up Voicemail Greeting: You can also create personalized Voicemail Greetings for each extension. These greetings will play when a call is not answered or when an extension is set to forward calls directly to voicemail.

  6. Upload or Record Greetings: Depending on your preference, you can either record greetings directly through the interface or upload pre-recorded audio files. To upload an audio file, ensure it meets the specified format and size limits (generally .mp3 or .wav files).

  7. Preview and Save Your Greetings: After creating or uploading your greetings, be sure to preview them. Once you're satisfied with how they sound, save your settings.

  8. Test Your Greetings: Make a test call to verify that your greetings are functioning as expected. This will allow you to check both the main and voicemail greetings, as well as any after-hours messages.
