What is the "Ring for..." field?

When configuring your extension, you'll need to fill out the "Ring for..." field when entering a forwarding number. This setting controls how long the system will ring a specific number before moving on to the next number in the sequence or going to virtual voicemail.

Recommended Durations:

  • Landline: 15 seconds
  • Mobile Devices: 20 seconds
  • Not Using System Voicemail: 60 seconds

How It Works:

  • Single Forwarding Number: If you're forwarding to just one number, the system will ring that number for the duration set in the "Ring for..." field. After that, it will go to the virtual voicemail.

  • Multiple Forwarding Numbers: If you're forwarding to multiple numbers, the system will ring each number for the duration set in the "Ring for..." field. Once the system finishes ringing that number, it will move on to the next one in the sequence. If no numbers remain, the call will be directed to virtual voicemail.
