How can I manage permission to my mobile phone’s contacts for the Unitel app?

When installing the Unitel Voice Mobile App, you’ll be prompted to allow access to your device’s contacts. This permission makes it easier to see caller names on incoming calls and quickly dial contacts within the app.

Permissions are optional, but enabling them enhances your experience. You can change this setting at any time through your device’s settings.

How to Change Contact Permissions

On iOS (Apple) Devices:

  1. Open your iPhone Settings.
  2. Tap Privacy.
  3. Select Contacts.
  4. Scroll down and find "Unitel Voice" in the list.
  5. Toggle the permission ON or OFF as needed.

On Android Devices:

  1. Open your Android Settings.
  2. Tap Apps & Notifications.
  3. Select App Permissions.
  4. Tap Contacts.
  5. Scroll down and find "Unitel Voice".
  6. Toggle the permission ON or OFF as needed.

Why Enable Contact Permissions?

  • Easier Caller Identification – When an inbound call comes through the app, the caller’s name will display if they’re saved in your phone’s contacts.
  • Faster Outbound Dialing – Use the "Contacts" tab in the app to quickly find and call saved contacts.

If you disable this permission, you will still be able to make and receive calls, but caller names will not be displayed, and you’ll need to dial numbers manually.
