What is attended transfer?

An Attended Transfer allows you to transfer a call to another extension or phone number after first speaking with the recipient. This ensures the receiving party is available before the caller is transferred.

  • Best for when you need to introduce the caller or provide context before transferring.
  • If the recipient does not wish to take the call, they can hang up, and you will return to the original caller.

How to Perform an Attended Transfer

  1. While on a call, your in-call display will update with transfer options.
  2. Tap "Att. Transfer".
  3. Dial the 3-digit extension (for internal transfers) or 10-digit number (for external transfers) and press the Call button.
  4. Stay on the line and speak with the recipient before transferring the call.
  5. When ready, tap the "Transfer" button to complete the transfer.

If the recipient does not wish to take the call, they can hang up, and you will be reconnected with the original caller.

Important Notes

  • Use Attended Transfer when you need to introduce the caller or ensure the recipient is available.
  • For a quicker transfer without speaking to the recipient first, use a Blind Transfer.
