What are Greetings?

How Greetings Work in Our System

Click Here to watch a quick video on how greetings work in our system.

Our system offers three types of greetings:

1. Main Greeting

The Main Greeting is the first message callers hear when they dial your number. This greeting should provide options for callers to choose from.

Example:
"Thank you for calling ABC Company. For sales, press 1. For support, press 2. For our dial-by-name directory, press 8."

2. Voicemail Greeting

Each department and employee extension has its own Voicemail Greeting. This is the message callers hear before leaving a voicemail.

Example:

"Thank you for calling ABC Company. We are unable to take your call at this time. Please leave a message, and we will return your call as soon as possible."

3. After-Hours Greeting

The After-Hours Greeting plays after your business hours have ended. This message informs callers that they have reached your company outside of regular hours.

Example:
"Thank you for calling ABC Company. You have reached us after our normal business hours. Please press 9 to leave a voicemail."
