What is blind transfer?

A Blind Transfer allows you to send a call directly to another number without speaking to the recipient first. This can be done to:

  • Another extension within your Unitel Voice system (3-digit extension).
  • Any 10-digit USA or Canadian phone number.

How to Perform a Blind Transfer

  1. While on a call, your in-call display will update with transfer options.
  2. Press the "Transfer" button.
  3. Dial the number where you wish to send the call:
    • To transfer to another extension: Dial the 3-digit extension of the recipient.
    • To transfer to an external number: Dial the 10-digit phone number.
  4. Press the blue "Call" button to complete the transfer.
  5. The call will be sent immediately, and your line will disconnect.

Important Notes

  • You will not be able to speak with the recipient before the transfer is completed. If you want to introduce the caller before transferring, use an Attended (Warm) Transfer instead.
  • For internal transfers to another extension, simply dial the 3-digit extension number instead of a full 10-digit number.
