How do I receive faxes?

To receive faxes on your Unitel Voice phone number, your number must be set to "Play My Main Greeting." Follow these steps to ensure your fax settings are correct:

Step 1: Enable Fax Reception

  1. Navigate to Settings > Your Numbers in your Unitel Voice account.
  2. Click "Edit" next to the number you want to update.
  3. Update Forwarding Options: Under "Forwarding Options," select "Play My Main Greeting."
  4. Save Your Changes.

Once this setting is enabled, faxes sent to your number will be delivered to your phone system's Inbox.


Step 2: Access Your Received Faxes

  • All voicemails and faxes will appear in your Inbox.
  • Use the built-in filters to find faxes quickly:
    • Set the "Type" filter to "FAX" to display only faxes.

Step 3: Manage Your Faxes

Once in your Inbox, you can:
Download the fax to your device.
Add a note for reference.
Forward the fax to another recipient.
Delete faxes you no longer need.

? Important: Faxes are stored for 60 days before being automatically deleted. Be sure to download and save any important documents before this period expires.
