Where do I manage my inbound fax notification email & settings?

If your Unitel Voice phone number is set to "Play Main Greeting," it can receive inbound faxes, which will be displayed in your Inbox. Additionally, you can configure fax notifications to be sent via email with a PDF attachment.

How to Set Up or Update Fax Notifications

  1. Navigate to Settings > Your Numbers in your dashboard.
  2. Select a Number: Click "Edit" next to the phone number you want to configure.
  3. Set Notification Action: Ensure the Notification Action is set to "Copy" to store faxes in your Inbox and send them via email.
  4. Enter Email Address(es): In the Notification Email field, enter the email where fax notifications should be sent. To send to multiple addresses, separate them with commas (no spaces).
  5. Save Changes.

Understanding Notification Actions

The Notification Action setting determines how faxes are stored and sent:

  • Copy (Recommended): Faxes are converted to PDFs, emailed to the Notification Email, and stored in your Inbox for 60 days.
  • None: Faxes will not be saved or forwarded to an email.
  • Forward: Faxes are converted to PDFs, emailed to the Notification Email, and then deleted from the system (no copy is stored).
  • Notify: Faxes are stored in your Inbox, and an email notification is sent, but no PDF attachment is included.
